CASH QUEST GO - OFFICIAL RULES

1. Eligibility

• Open to residents of Australia.

• Participants must be 16+ (under 16 require parent/guardian supervision).

• Employees, organisers, and direct family of Cash Quest Go are not eligible to claim prizes.

 

2. Location

• Hunts currently operate on the Gold Coast, QLD.

• All activities must be conducted within designated drop zones announced by Cash Quest Go.

 

3. How to Play

• Tokens are hidden in public spaces that are safe and accessible.

• Each token has a QR code—scan it to reveal your prize or entry.

• Some hunts require purchase of “clues” to gain hints (these are optional).

• Limit of 1 prize claim per person per hunt (unless otherwise specified).

 

4. Prizes

• Prizes may include cash, vouchers, or items as advertised.

• All prize values are listed clearly before each hunt begins.

• Total prize pool varies depending on the hunt.

 

5. Cash Prizes & Tax

• Cash prizes are permitted under QLD trade-promotion rules.

• Winners will receive the full cash amount of the prize; no tax is withheld, as the ATO treats competition winnings as a tax-free windfall gain.

• Any income generated from investing or using the prize money may be taxable to the winner.

• Cash Quest Go records all winners and prize values in accordance with trade-promotion transparency requirements.

• For organisers, prize payouts are treated as marketing expenses and may be deductible for business tax purposes.

 

6. Founding & Member Benefits

• Founding Members (capped at 500 spots) pay $7/week for exclusive early access and perks.

• Once spots are filled, membership increases to $9/week.

• Members may receive early clues, private group access, or bonus prize entries.

 

7. Fair Play

• All participants must respect public property, private property boundaries, and safety.

• No tampering, damaging, or falsifying tokens.

• Organisers reserve the right to disqualify unfair or unsafe conduct.

 

8. Transparency & Verification

• Prize values and token numbers are announced prior to each hunt.

• Winners may be required to provide ID for verification.

• Results will be published via Cash Quest Go’s official channels.

 

9. Liability & Waiver

• Participants enter at their own risk.

• Cash Quest Go is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage sustained while participating.

• By playing, you agree to these terms.

 

10. Rule Changes

• Cash Quest Go reserves the right to update, amend, or change these rules at any time.

• Any changes will be published on the official website and will take effect immediately.
